Are gravel bikes made to be fast?

Whether you want to enjoy natural landscapes or to push as fast as you can on a dirt road, the G3-X was designed to be your most trusty partner in your adventures. Guaranteed by Nathan Haas.G3X geometry has some noticeable differences especially focused for gravel. With longer chain stays, lower BB and longer top tube to bring the rider forward and ensure a more compact rider position. Typically we would advise on using a 10-20mm shorter stem.

Drivetrain & Tyres

Equipped with Shimano's latest Gravel specific group set (Shimano 822 1x12) and Pirelli Cinturato^TM gravel specific tyres 700x40c to match the frame's enormous tyre clearances.

SeatPost

Based on the shape of the V3Rs seatpost, the semi truncated "D" shape adds a bit of aero performance, while giving better vertical compliance compared to the previous round 31.6mm seatpost.

Steering and comfort

Precise steering with comfort for long days riding is achieved with a lower bottom bracket height and longer wheelbase.

Frame protection

To help protect the frame from impacts, Colnago has added a replaceable rubber chainstay protector along with a bumper bash guard to the down tube to protect the carbon from rock strikes which also allows the fitment of a third bottle cage.
